Introduction

The human body is +60% water. Seems solid enough—bones, muscles, even tissue mass that gets bumps and bruises. Yet miraculously, our physical bodies are mostly liquid water, over 60,000 miles of circulatory and nerve systems and a jumble of biochemistry reactions. So remarkable: 37.2 trillion cells at last count!

Introduction

  •  The human body is +60% water.
  • Some 100 billion of these cells reside in the human brain. Each brain cell can be connected via synapses to 10,000 other brain cells – making pathways for thoughts, beliefs and habits. So where in this wonderous human body does Happiness live?
  • Generally, scholars reply: either in the Mind or in the Heart (or perhaps a bit of both!). The human Heart is the seat of our emotions which are interpreted by the Mind. The Mind/Brain is a blend of bio-chemistry, neuro-pathways, living tissues and partly Spirit. Scientists will tell us there are three (3) parts to the Brain: forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain. Yet this biology does not tell us how the Brain functions, where thinking arises and what explain our feelings of Happiness.
